Freedom Bound in Fluidity

Inspired by the Adinkra symbol Fawhodie, which represents emancipation, this piece reflects the complex nature of freedom. While African Americans have gained freedom, it remains unstable, like waves in the ocean. The piece also suggests that, despite freedom, the chains of the past remain, tethering us to historical struggles.
